For those who don't know, Dominica is located at the northern end of the Lesser Antilles, lying between the French islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique. The island is 16 miles wide and 29 miles long. Dominica is filled with rivers fed by an annual rainfall of 40 inches on the coast to 300 inches in the interior. It is said to have 365 rivers, one for every day of the year.

Thank you so much for giving us a glimpse of your new life on the island of Dominica. Looking at your photos and reading your captions gave us a realistic visual of what you are experiencing. There is such a contrast to the culture we are exposed to. I am proud of you Fruita Monument and Mesa State College students. Please continue to journal your life your in the Caribbean, as you will appreciate it in the years to come. It also makes us feel like we can reach out and touch you. We miss you!
