More Morne...

Daniel, at our first clearing. We couldn't see anything since we were walking in the clouds. We were now very wet and muddy.
As you climbed higher, it was all fern-encrusted forest.
The wind was blowing so hard up here that we had to yell at each other while we were talking.
We made it to the marker, but still had about an hour to go. This marker points toward the peak.
Our first view of the peak. That is Morne Diablotin on the left, Dominica's highest peak. It is also the 2nd highest peak in the Caribbean.
Jamie walks through the brush towards the peak.
Jamie and Daniel on top of Morne Diablotin. No views from here. It may have been one of the worst days to do this hike.
A small frog took a seat on Daniel's backpack and joined us for lunch. As you can see, even our packs were muddy.
Yes, even though it doesn't look like it, there is a trail through there.
It took a while to get these clothes clean.
The shirt required a few soaks in bleach, but the socks just got thrown away.

Wow Daniel, that looks like so much fun! But I'm curious, who did your laundry??
